Maternity

baby2All Doctors provide full antenatal and postnatal care.  The midwives have a clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday's for antenatal care.  You will be invited to make a Postnatal check appointment with the Doctor during surgery hours. 

Diabetes

All the Practice non-Insulin Dependant diabetics are invited to attend our Diabetic Clinic, which is run by Practice Nurses.

Child Health And Baby Clinic

Routine development checks for babies and children up to the age of 5 are carried out on a Thursday afternoon, with one of the Partners, a Health Visitor and a Practice Nurse in attendance. This clinic is by appointment only and routine weighing of babies takes place at the local baby clinic at Collinson Avenue Chorley 

Childhood Immunisations

A computerised recall system operates for children’s immunizations, and the vaccinations will be given in conjunction with the Child Health Clinic.

Respiratory Clinic 

boy_with_inhalerPatients suffering from Asthma OR Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease will be given the opportunity to attend one of our Respiratory Clinics, which are run by the Nursing Team

Healthwise Clinic 

Patients suffering from Coronary Heart Disease or related condition such as Angina will be given the opportunity to attend one of our Healthwise Clinics, which are run by our nursing team.

Well Women Issues

Patients should make a routine appointment with the GP or nurse. They give where appropriate, advice on breast examination, family planning, hormone replacement therapy, the menopause and cervical smears.

Cervical Smears

Patients receiving recall letters for cervical smears will be invited to make an appointment in our smear clinics, run throughout the week

Phlebotomy

All blood tests will be carried out by a trained Phlebotomist in designated clinics – please ask at Reception for more details.

Medicals

All Medicals for Insurance, HGV Licenses, Elderly Drivers,
Sporting purposes etc. can be arranged through Reception.  These are not covered by the NHS, and the BMA recommended fee will be payable.

Family Planning

Family planning and contraceptive advice is available during normal surgery hours from all Partners.

Travel Vaccinations

With increasing numbers of people traveling abroad, we recommended that you seek advice from our Practice Nurses regarding the appropriate vaccinations for your destination.  Please plan well ahead and book your appointment at least six weeks before you travel.
